Sony Blu-ray Disc releases widget - Terms and Conditions

The tool we provide (the "Sony Blu-ray Disc releases widget") is provided on an "as is" basis. We make every effort to provide honest and accurate information, but makes no representations or guarantees or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the site, or the information, content, materials, products or services included on this site.

How we use your data

When you signup for the widget you provide us with a URL to your blog or profile and (optionally) an Amazon Associate ID.

We use your URL to generate a unique piece of HTML which you can include in your profile or blog sidebar to display the latest and upcoming Blu-ray Disc releases. We need to know your blog or profile URL to enable us to tell how often the widget is viewed and interacted with - see the "Information we record" section below for more details on this.

If choose to enter your Amazon Associate ID, then you can earn commission on titles sold at the standard Amazon Associates referral rate when people click through to the Amazon site (see http://affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk/gp/associates/join/main.html for more details on the Amazon Associates program). If you don't provide an Amazon Associate ID, then any titles sold by users clicking through from your blog or profile will have their referral fees donated to our chosen charity, Oxfam (http://www.oxfam.org.uk/).

You are responsible for confirming the accuracy of your Amazon Associate ID and we will not be liable, nor enter into any discussion, regarding tracking issues.

MySpace users please note that due to limitations placed upon 3rd party widgets by MySpace, the titles will not be clickable through to Amazon.

Information we record

When you signup, we record the blog or profile URL you entered, the date and time you completed the form, your computer's IP address and if you followed a link from another website to reach the signup form (the "referer").

We record the number of times the widget has been displayed on your blogor profile, and the date and time of the last view.

We also record the number of times people click on a release in the widget on your blog or profile and are directed on to the Amazon site.

We use this information to determine how often the widget is being viewed and interacted with on each profile or blog - we will not sell this information to 3rd parties, or pass this information on, unless required to do so by law.
